Remote Freelance Writer for App Testing – Entry Level

Looking to launch a career in tech writing? We're seeking writers who love exploring mobile apps and want to develop a strong portfolio while helping us create better user experiences. You'll have direct hands-on experience testing innovative applications, diving deep into their functionality, and crafting insightful analysis based on actual user interaction. Your observations help shape how our development team works, and your writing gets seen by thousands of people invested in app excellence.

Roles: Test applications comprehensively on your device by methodically working through every function and capability. Create detailed write-ups that celebrate what's working, identify glitches and interface problems, uncover friction points in the user journey, and suggest concrete enhancements.

Requirements: You'll need at least one device capable of running apps: iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or Android tablet.

Contract length: Open-ended—continue working together as long as it remains beneficial for everyone involved.

Rate: $35 per hour (adjusted based on app complexity and extent of your testing contributions).

Skills/background needed:

• A smartphone or tablet with the ability to download and operate apps
• Self-directed approach and solid organizational abilities
• Sharp eye for detail and commitment to adhering to testing standards
• At least 5 hours per week you can dedicate to projects
• Stable, fast internet connection

Hours per week: You choose your own schedule and workload.

Location: 100% remote—based anywhere in the world (we're actively expanding our US writer pool for this role). Perfect for our distributed team environment.
